University of Ghana Call for Applications TDR Postgraduate Scholarship in Implementation Research Academic Year 2023 Deadline for submission of applications: 9 September 2022  DESCRIPTION The Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences, School of Public Health at the University of Ghana, invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for a place in a full-time postgraduate programme with a focus on Implementation Research for the 2022–2023 academic year. Funding for these full scholarships is from TDR, the UNICEF/UNDP/World Bank/WHO Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases ( https://tdr.who.int/ ). About the Scholarship As part of the Australian Research Council funded grant project ‘ Activating social connection to address isolation in Australia ’, we have two scholarships available for enthusiastic students to undertake a Masters project on one of the following two topics: 1 . Digital inclusion and Social Connection The research focus of this project will be on investigating the intersection between place-based social connection and different uses of digital technologies. Working closely with industry partner Neami National ( www.neaminational.org.au ), the project seeks to understand lived experiences of people with psychosocial disabilities and their online and offline social connections. MS Graduate Research Assistantship at Eastern Illinois University🇺🇸 Project: Biological Response to Instream Habitat Restoration Across Multiple Trophic Levels (fish community, aquatic macroinvertebrates, habitat quality) Description: A graduate research assistantship is available in the Department of Biological Sciences’ Center for Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences at Eastern Illinois University with a potential start date ranging from May 10th-August 17th, 2022. The candidate will investigate the biological responses to instream habitat restorations in Illinois streams. This will involve sampling and analysis of fish communities, aquatic macroinvertebrates, and habitat surveys (QHEI).
